Lots of people ask this Austin Musician, "is that your real name? Is COOKUS your last name?" Heres the scoop... Long ago, before moving to Austin,TX, Lucas started playing guitar and singing live. At a sold out show in the Kansas City River Market, at the former Big Daddy's (Now Harry's Country Club) he stood up staring at the KC skyline. Guitar in hand he licked his lips, touched them to the mic ready to introduce himself as Lucas Cook but all that came out was, "Good evening, thanks for coming out, my name is LUCAS COOKUS... i mean..." and the rest is history baby! Deeply rooted in blues, funk, soul and rock this Austin Music is a one of a kind sound enjoyed by audiences of all ages. Currently recording his first full Length album he is focused on "taking it to the next level." RIDICULOUS is due for release in Fall 2007.
